It’s Time to Drop a Line

The thought of getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to a place where the fish are jumpin’ high, and you can drop a line to snag the “big one” seems like a relaxing way to spend the day. Turn those thoughts of enjoying the quietude and natural beauty of the great outdoors into reality with a stay at Christopher Creek Lodge.

Along with cozy accommodations in natural settings, the lodge is situated on the banks of Christopher Creek and is near several other fishing locations.

Christopher Creek

The Arizona Game and Fish Department does its part by creating a bountiful fishing environment with seasonal bi-weekly stocking of the creek. Situated along the Mogollon rim’s base and fed by natural springs, expect access to Rainbow, Brook, and Brown trout.

Woods Canyon Lake

Located in the Woods Canyon Lake Recreation Area, you are just 18 minutes away from the scenic 52-acre lake. Like other nearby fishing spots, enjoy a relaxing morning or afternoon fishing. The recreation area also has hiking trails, and a picnic area, or bring a canoe or kayak and explore the lake at your leisure.

Willow Springs Lake

Just 13 minutes from the lodge, Willow Springs Lake is located on the Mogollon Rim. The cold-water lake offers a serene setting where fishing is easy from the shoreline or a boat. The lake is known for its rainbow trout, largemouth and smallmouth bass, green sunfish, and brown trout.

Blue Ridge Reservoir

With trees that make their way all the way to the water line along with blue skies and calm water creates a picture postcard setting. Because of its canyon-like setting with limited shoreline, the reservoir is a popular destination for those who want a relaxing and quiet place to fish, canoe, and kayak. Like Christopher Creek, the reservoir is stocked with brook, rainbow, and brown trout by the Arizona Game and Fish Department.

Green Valley Lake

A short 30-minute drive takes you to Green Valley Lake, where mountain ranges highlight the horizon. At the lake, enjoy a park setting offering a variety of options to experience, such as fishing in the well-stocked lake, going boating, having a picnic, or taking a stroll around the perimeter of the lake.

With so many nearby choices for fishing, you’re sure to reel in the next great catch when staying at Christopher Creek Lodge
