1355 E. Christopher Creek Loop   Payson, AZ  85541

Christopher Creek Lodge is located approximately 21 miles east of Payson on the new “Christopher Creek Loop” just off State Route 260, the Payson Heber Highway.  Please note that the community of Christopher Creek has been bypassed so State Route 260 no longer runs through it.  The bypass was created when ADOT completed a new 5.3-mile stretch of highway around Christopher Creek between mileposts 272 and 277.  Thus, please be observant for signs before, or after these mileposts for a detour into Christopher Creek called the “Christopher Creek Loop.”  We have added some pictures and directions to assist you below.

If you are coming from Payson, you will first pass the R-C Scout Ranch and then top out on a hill approaching the Christopher Creek Campground.  You will need to get into the left lane of the highway to turn left onto “Christopher Creek Loop” as pictured below.  Note: The left turn lane is short and quickly approaches after milepost 272 so you need to be vigilant.  If you miss this turn, there is another left turn further down State Route 260.  After you make this turnoff into the community of Christopher Creek, you will then proceed through the community of Christopher Creek where you will then cross the bridge over the creek.  Right after the bridge, on your right, you will see the entrance to Christopher Creek Lodge.

Pictured above is State Route 260 as you pass the Christopher Creek Campground and are approaching the first left turn on the “Christopher Creek Loop” around milepost 272 – Circa 2005.

If you should miss the first turn-off, a second left turn will be down State Route 260 approximately 2 to 3 miles.  Pictured above is State Route 260 as you approach the last exit into Christopher Creek.  If you pass the Sharp Creek Campground then you have gone to far and need to turn around – Circa 2005.

If you are coming from Heber, you will first pass the Colcord Road turnoff and then approach the Sharp Creek Campground.  As you approach the Sharp Creek Campground you should be in the right lane and ready to turn off onto the “Christopher Creek Loop” as pictured below.  Note: Should you miss the first exit there is second exit after milepost 273.  However, the right turn lane is short and quickly approaches after milepost 273 so you need to be vigilant.  If you miss this turn you will need to turn around.  After you make this turnoff into the community of Christopher Creek, you will then proceed through the community of Christopher Creek where you will then approach the bridge over the creek.  Right before the bridge, on your left, you will see the entrance to Christopher Creek Lodge.

Pictured above is State Route 260 as you approach the first turn-off for the “Christopher Creek Loop” – Circa 2005.

Pictured above is State Route 260 as you approach the second turn-off for the “Christopher Creek Loop.”  The right hand turn is shortly after the turn in the highway above as pictured below – Circa 2005.
